About the role

In order to service our existing client base, we are seeking a lawyer who can relate to our vision for technical excellence, innovation and our client centric approach.  Whilst we don’t style ourselves as a ‘new law firm’ clients have said that we are the most “technologically savvy law firm” that they have come across.

The role involves working with existing clients on matters ranging from drafting various different commercial contracts and (contract sets), business acquisitions and sales, shareholder relationships and assisting with matters as required to protect our client’s rights.

The successful candidate will work with each of the firm’s Practice Leaders and have the opportunity to specialise depending on professional interest and availability. Surprisingly you will actually get to talk with clients and develop your knowledge and expertise as part of your role.

The role is flexible with the opportunity to work from our office or from your home.  The role will predominantly be client facing however it will depend on the professional interests of the successful candidate and may include:

  • end to end management of client matters in conjunction with the one of the Practice Leaders;
  • writing technical advices for clients on a range of matters;
  • document automation and process development;
  • contributing towards firm’s internal knowledge base.

Your skills and experience

You will have:

  • an unblemished Queensland Practicing Certificate;
  • the ability to work variable hours depending on your availability and the firm’s needs;
  • be self-motivated and have the ability to use common sense and initiative to work at a high level with minimum supervision.
  • be highly computer literate with advanced skills in MS word – any programming or IT skills would be advantageous, but not strictly required.
